What You Will Be Doing
- Designing and continually refining an AI-powered learning ecosystem that demonstrably surpasses traditional education, supported by concrete improvements in student achievement metrics
- Interacting directly with students via virtual channels to grasp their learning journeys, obstacles, and accomplishments, applying these insights to drive ongoing enhancement of the learning ecosystem
- Extracting insights from learning platform data to identify actionable opportunities and engineer high-impact academic interventions using AI/ML, learning science, and motivational research
- Fostering a culture of ambitious experimentation and evidence-informed decision-making, utilizing data to unlock quantum leaps in students' growth pathways
- Collaborating with platform engineering, data science, and design functions to convert academic insights and student input into fluid product improvements
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Wrapping traditional pedagogy in an AI veneer. This is not about reproducing classroom teaching on screens – we are fundamentally rethinking learning from its foundation.
- Examining data from a distance. You will engage regularly with K-12 students, treating their input as critical feedback from our paying customers.

Vice President Learning Key Responsibilities
Lead innovation in AI-enabled, teacher-less education to produce outstanding student outcomes across multiple campuses. Integrate data analytics with consistent student interaction to continually refine our learning ecosystem, as evidenced by AP exam results and MAP assessment growth.
Basic Requirements
- Master's degree or higher in Educational Science, Learning Science, Psychology, Psychometrics, Instructional Design, or a related field
- Leadership experience in education or EdTech
- Experience applying AI technologies in an educational or professional context
- Experience designing and implementing AI systems for tasks such as content generation, data analysis, or adaptive learning
- Strong understanding of learning science principles and data-driven educational approaches
- Proven ability to communicate complex educational and technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
