What You Will Be Doing
- Designing and continuously refining an AI-powered learning ecosystem that demonstrably surpasses traditional educational models, validated by concrete improvements in student performance metrics
- Interacting directly with students via virtual channels to comprehend their learning journeys, obstacles, and achievements, and applying these insights to drive ongoing enhancement of the learning ecosystem
- Extracting insights from learning platform data to identify actionable opportunities and engineer high-impact academic interventions using AI/ML, learning science, and evidence-based motivational strategies
- Fostering a culture of ambitious experimentation and evidence-driven decision-making, using data to catalyze transformational gains in student growth outcomes
- Collaborating with platform engineering, data science, and design teams to convert academic insights and student input into intuitive product improvements
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Wrapping traditional education in an AI veneer. This role is not about digitizing classroom teaching – we are fundamentally rethinking learning from first principles.
- Working with data in a vacuum. You will be required to engage regularly with K-12 students, treating their feedback as critical intelligence from our primary customers.
- Seeking unanimous approval before challenging conventions. You will advance a transformative vision and mobilize others through data-backed outcomes.
- Adhering to established methodologies. You will have the freedom to pilot novel approaches to motivation, assessment, and pedagogy.

Vice President Learning Key Responsibilities
Lead innovation in AI-enabled, teacher-less education to produce outstanding student results across multiple campus locations. Integrate data analytics with consistent student interaction to systematically refine our learning ecosystem, evaluated through AP exam scores and MAP assessment progress.
Basic Requirements
- Master's degree or higher in Educational Science, Learning Science, Psychology, Psychometrics, Instructional Design, or a related field
- Leadership experience in education or EdTech
- Experience applying AI technologies in an educational or professional context
- Experience designing and implementing AI systems for tasks such as content generation, data analysis, or adaptive learning
- Strong understanding of learning science principles and data-driven educational approaches
- Proven ability to communicate complex educational and technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
