As a senior Investment Banking professional within the India Financial Institutions, FinTech and Real Estate Group, you will build and maintain strong relationships with corporate and financial institution clients. You will work across a full suite of products, including M&A, divestitures, and equity and debt capital markets, providing strategic advice tailored to client objectives.
You will lead the execution of complex, cross-border transactions, managing multiple stakeholders and coordinating closely with internal product partners and external advisors. You will be responsible for driving transaction timelines, ensuring quality deliverables, and navigating regional dynamics to achieve successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact and act as deal team leader on transaction executions
- Oversee and quality-review the analytical output of junior team members to support marketing and execution activities
- Mentor, coach, and provide continuous feedback to Analysts and Associates
- Enhance and finalize marketing and execution materials to ensure strong client impact
- Supervise the development of financial models, forecasts, and valuation analyses
- Proactively identify, escalate, and manage key risks across the transaction lifecycle
- Coordinate closely with internal teams and external advisors (including legal, accounting, and counterparties)
- Lead core client interactions, including due diligence, Q&A processes, and management presentations; support negotiations alongside senior bankers
- Manage cross-border transactions, ensuring effective coordination across multiple jurisdictions and stakeholder groups
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business, Finance or a related discipline
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in investment banking
- Solid experience covering the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) sector, especially the lending segment
- Strong understanding of corporate finance, valuation methodologies, and key FIG industry trends
- Highly motivated and detail-oriented, with excellent analytical, communication, and written skills
- Proven track record of leading transaction execution across M&A and capital markets
- Ability to engage confidently with senior client management and internal stakeholders
- Self-driven and proactive, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
