About The Role
We are seeking a seasoned finance leader for the role of Vice President - Finance to drive and oversee global finance operations with a key focus on establishing and managing financial operations in Georgia (Europe).
This role requires a strategic finance professional with strong expertise in international accounting, cross-border structuring, taxation, treasury, compliance, and financial governance. The ideal candidate will partner closely with senior leadership to support global expansion initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance across jurisdictions, and build scalable finance operations for international business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Global Finance Leadership
- Lead and manage the finance function for India and international operations, with a primary focus on setting up and scaling finance operations in Georgia.
- Act as a strategic finance partner to senior leadership, supporting international business expansion and investment decisions.
- Drive financial governance, operational controls, and strategic financial planning across global entities.
International Business Setup & Structuring
- Spearhead finance setup activities for overseas operations including entity structuring, registrations, banking relationships, and coordination with local advisors and regulatory bodies.
- Establish scalable financial processes, policies, SOPs, and governance frameworks for international operations.
- Ensure alignment with Indian, Georgian, and global financial regulations and compliance standards.
Accounting, Consolidation & Reporting
- Oversee global accounting operations, financial reporting, and consolidation across India and overseas entities.
- Ensure compliance with Ind AS, IFRS, local GAAP, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Manage inter-company transactions, reconciliations, and cross-border financial reporting processes.
Taxation & Regulatory Compliance
- Lead international taxation, transfer pricing, FEMA compliance, and cross-border structuring initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to Indian and Georgian tax regulations, regulatory frameworks, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Manage direct and indirect taxation, audits, regulatory filings, and compliance reporting across jurisdictions.
Treasury & Financial Strategy
- Establish and manage international treasury operations including banking relationships, foreign exchange management, hedging strategies, and global fund flows.
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial planning processes for international operations and projects.
- Support capital allocation decisions, project financing, and investment evaluation initiatives.
Project Finance & Business Support
- Monitor project costs, CAPEX utilization, and financial performance for capital-intensive projects within the Energy/Oil & Gas sector.
- Support project financing activities, commercial evaluations, and business expansion initiatives.
- Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to leadership teams for operational and investment decisions.
Governance, Audit & Risk Management
- Develop and implement strong internal controls, audit frameworks, and compliance mechanisms for global operations.
- Lead internal and external audits, risk assessments, and governance initiatives across entities.
- Ensure operational transparency, financial integrity, and compliance with corporate governance standards.
Team Leadership & Transformation
- Build, mentor, and lead finance teams across India and international locations.
- Drive finance transformation initiatives, process automation, and digital finance capabilities.
- Foster collaboration across cross-functional and cross-border teams to ensure operational efficiency and alignment.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 12-20 years of relevant finance leadership experience.
- Strong expertise in international accounting, cross-border structuring, and setting up finance operations in new geographies, preferably Europe/CIS regions.
- Deep understanding of IFRS, Ind AS, transfer pricing, FEMA regulations, and international taxation frameworks.
- Proven experience managing global accounting, treasury, audit, compliance, and financial governance functions.
- Experience within Energy, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Infrastructure, or multinational organizations preferred.
- Strong exposure to CAPEX-intensive environments and project finance operations.
- Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, analytical, and strategic decision-making skills.

- Expertise in global finance transformation and process optimization.
- Strong understanding of international regulatory and compliance frameworks.
- Experience managing expatriate structures, global payroll, and mobility compliance.
- Ability to lead complex cross-border operations in fast-paced growth environments.
