Job Title: Vice President , Credit Services
This is a high-impact role at CCM TS within Collateral Management. You’ll shape how collateral management is delivered across markets, strengthen control and quality outcomes, and lead transformation that improves service, reduces risk, and simplifies the experience for customers and colleagues. You’ll work across boundaries, partner with global stakeholders, and help deliver strategic and regulatory priorities that matter to the bank—and to the everyday lives of the customers we serve.
In This Role, You Will
- Own and govern global processes across multiple entities in the credit lending and collateral management journey, ensuring consistent execution and clear accountability.
- Manage and maintain procedures, guidelines, and knowledge repositories, ensuring documentation is accurate, current, and audit-ready.
- Drive simplification and standardisation across global markets, reducing complexity and improving customer and colleague outcomes.
- Lead change delivery and transformation for Credit and Collateral Management initiatives across global markets, including platforms and programmes such as Connecto, DCP CA, CM, DOC, Oracle (and related tooling).
- Implement and embed the end-to-end Global Target Operating Model (TOM), ensuring it’s rolled out effectively and reviewed periodically for continued relevance and control.
- Strengthen quality control and assurance, embedding robust controls and continuous improvement routines.
- Deliver S166 audit implementation through embedding CMRT, ensuring sustainable remediation and control effectiveness.
- Coordinate delivery of regulatory and strategic programmes including Basel 3 (GCDS), PSF (Parental Support Framework), and other regulatory commitments—ensuring timely, consistent execution across regions.
- Build capability through knowledge management and cross-training, enabling resilience and consistent outcomes across lending documentation and collateral teams.
Role Dimensions
- Proven experience as a process owner / process governance lead across multiple entities, ideally in a global operating model.
- Expert knowledge with strong end-to-end understanding of collateral management and lending documentation.
- Demonstrated track record delivering process transformation, standardisation, and operational excellence in a regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of operational risk and control frameworks, including experience supporting audits and regulatory remediation (e.g., S166 or equivalent).
- Experience delivering complex, cross-market change involving systems/process redesign and stakeholder alignment.
- Strong communication and influencing skills—able to align diverse stakeholders across regions, functions, and seniority levels.
- A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to balance pace, quality, and control.
To Be Successful You Will
- Graduate/Post Graduate in Commerce Stream, MBA, MBA Finance, MCom,
- 5+ years of relevant experience for an internal Candidate, 7+ years of experience for an external candidate
- Strong knowledge of Credit products
- Hands on Working Knowledge of Corporate Credit Operations which includes Pre and Post Approval process and also Financial Statement Spreading
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Strong negotiation & persuasive skills
- Good knowledge of the HSBC Group – organization, culture & policies
Others
- Credit skills and a detailed understanding of bank credit and risk policy and procedures
- Good understanding of the Financial Ratios and what impacts them.
