Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Marketing Intern at Pioneer Chemical Industries Private Limited in Mumbai. The Marketing Intern will be responsible for assisting with market research, sales support, marketing strategy development, and customer service initiatives.

Job Description
The Vice President – Corporate Sales will be responsible for aggressively driving revenue growth by expanding the company’s customer base, deepening key account relationships, and increasing wallet share across industries.
This role prioritizes market expansion, client acquisition, and sales execution, with sourcing and procurement handled by a separate team.
Core Objective
Build a scalable, high-velocity sales engine that consistently delivers volume growth, higher margins, and strong customer retention
Key Responsibilities
1. Revenue Growth & Market Expansion (Primary Focus)
- Drive topline growth across commodity and specialty chemicals
- Identify and penetrate the high-growth sectors of pharma, agro,paints and explosives
- Increase share of business from existing clients
- Launch new products into existing customer segments
2. Key Account Management
- Own and grow relationships with top 20–50 revenue-generating clients
- Position the company as a preferred supply partner, not just a trader
- Drive long-term contracts and repeat business cycles
- Handle critical negotiations and closing of large deals
3. New Business Development
- Build a strong pipeline of new customers across India and selective export markets
- Lead front-end sales efforts — meetings, pitches, commercial discussions
- Convert high-value prospects into long-term clients
4. Sales Execution & Commercial Discipline
- Drive daily/weekly sales rhythm with strong pipeline tracking
- Ensure fast turnaround on quotes, pricing, and deal closures
- Implement structured pricing strategies to protect and improve margins
- Minimize credit risk through disciplined customer selection and monitoring
5. Team Leadership & Sales Culture
Once the ability to perform in the role is established by delivering actual sales and customer growth in the first phase of employment:
- Build and lead a hungry, execution-driven sales team
- Set aggressive but achievable targets
- Monitor performance through KPIs (conversion ratio, client addition, revenue per salesperson)
- Coach team on negotiation, product positioning, and closing
6. Product Positioning & Market Intelligence
- Work closely with sourcing/procurement team to align products with market demand
- Provide real-time market feedback (pricing trends, competitor activity, demand shifts)
- Identify fast-moving vs slow-moving products and optimize sales focus
7. Working Capital & Collections Focus
- Ensure strong control over receivables and credit cycles
- Balance growth with disciplined cash flow management
- Work with finance team on credit limits and risk mitigation
What This Role is NOT Focused On
- Not responsible for primary sourcing strategy or supplier negotiations
- Not a back-office or coordination role
- This is a frontline, revenue-first leadership role
Key Requirements
Experience
- 10–15 years in chemical trading / distribution (India-focused experience critical)
- Strong track record in sales growth and client acquisition
- Large existing network across industrial buyers in the pharma, agro, paints and explosives manufacturing sectors
Skills
- Exceptional negotiation and closing ability
- Strong customer relationship skills
- High commercial instinct (pricing, margins, deal structuring)
- Ability to operate in a fast-moving, opportunistic trading environment
- Strong leadership and execution mindset
