FyneHand is mandated to hire for the role of Vice President & Head - Banca and Affinity. The role will be based in Mumbai.
Our client commenced operations with the aim of providing comprehensive retail, commercial and industrial insurance solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Define and drive the overall strategy and national roadmap for the affinity channel
- Lead acquisition and onboarding of strategic partners (NBFCs, MFIs, HFCs, fintechs, digital ecosystems)
- Own the end-to-end P&L, including GWP, revenue growth, profitability, and cost efficiency
- Build and manage C-suite relationships with key partners to drive long-term value and wallet share
- Drive business expansion and partner productivity through structured performance management frameworks
- Collaborate with internal teams to design tailored products and solutions for affinity partners
- Ensure strong governance, compliance, and portfolio quality, including monitoring loss ratios and risk metrics
- Drive partner engagement, training, and R&R programs to enhance performance and retention
- Build and lead a high-performing national team, fostering a results-driven and accountable culture
- Work cross-functionally to ensure seamless onboarding, servicing, and partner experience
- Provide strategic insights and regular business updates to senior leadership
Key competencies:
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Good product understanding (Loan attachment products, etc.)
- Strategic people leadership & high-performance team development
- Building and scaling new client relationships
Education & experience:
- Graduation is a must
- At least 13-15 years of relevant sales experience in general insurance industry, with 5-6 years in Banca / Affinity channel
- Experience in building new relationships within Banca / Affinity space will be preferred
Location: Mumbai
