Role Description:
The Vice President is responsible for the overall leadership, operational excellence, productivity, profitability, quality, safety, and continuous improvement of the Rolling Mill, Steel Melting Shop (SMS), and Ferro Alloy Plant. The incumbent will lead cross-functional teams to ensure seamless production planning, optimum resource utilization, cost optimization, and achievement of organizational objectives. The role requires strong expertise in Rolling Mill operations while providing strategic oversight to SMS and Ferro divisions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the Rolling Mill, SMS, and Ferro Alloy Plant.
- Drive operational excellence in Rolling Mill operations, including reheating furnace, rolling process, finishing, cooling bed, and dispatch.
- Monitor manufacturing costs and implement cost reduction initiatives..
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain harmonious industrial relations with employees, unions, and contract workforce.
- Prepare annual operating budgets and monitor departmental expenditure.
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Metallurgical/Electrical Engineering
Experience:
Minimum 20 years of experience in the steel industry, with extensive expertise in Rolling Mill Operations and exposure to Steel Melting Shop (SMS) and Ferro Alloy Plant operations.
Domain Knowledge: comprehensive knowledge of integrated steel manufacturing processes, with deep expertise in Rolling Mill operations and strong working knowledge of Steel Melting Shop (SMS) and Ferro Alloy manufacturing.
