Role Summary
The Vice President of Engineering leads engineering for Property Management business unit within the India GCC, overseeing a large organization of 200+ engineers responsible for two mission-critical platforms—one major legacy platform and one modern platform. The role is accountable for engineering execution, quality, innovation, technology leadership, and people development, while operating as part of a multi‑VP engineering model within India.
This leader partners closely with Product Management, Support, Implementations, Architecture, and peer Engineering leaders across business units, while aligning with global technology direction and standards.
Core Leadership Capabilities:
- Business Unit Engineering Ownership
Own engineering delivery and outcomes for the assigned business unit.
Provide senior leadership across both platforms, ensuring reliability, performance, security, and production readiness.
Collaborate with Engineering leadership across business units to manage cross-product dependencies and shared technology concerns.
- Execution, Quality & Customer Impact
Drive predictable, high-quality delivery aligned with committed roadmaps.
Establish and continuously improve engineering, testing, and release practices.
Ensure timely response to customer issues and production escalations in partnership with India-based Support and Implementations teams.
- Technology Thought Leadership & Engineering Practices
Provide technology thought leadership within the business unit and across the India GCC.
Help establish and scale modern software engineering practices across teams, applicable to both legacy and modern platforms.
Drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve productivity, quality, and cycle time.
- People Leadership & Capability Building
Lead, mentor, and develop senior engineering leaders and managers.
Build leadership depth and succession pipelines aligned with India GCC growth.
Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and engineering rigor.
- India GCC & Peer Leadership
Operate as a senior India GCC leader within a multi‑VP engineering model.
Collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, Security, Operations, Support, and Implementation leaders based in India.
Ensure alignment with global technology direction while optimizing execution in India.
Experience Profile
- 20+ years of engineering experience with leadership at scale (150–200+ engineers).
- Proven success leading complex engineering organizations with both legacy and modern platforms.
- Experience delivering customer-facing enterprise or SaaS solutions.
- Strong execution discipline, technology judgment, and people leadership capability.
- Experience working within India GCC or globally distributed delivery environments is preferred.
