Role Description
The CEO will be responsible for leading Akshar Travels India into its next phase of growth, focusing on scale, profitability, brand positioning, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with strong execution capabilities in the travel, hospitality, or consumer services industry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership
Define and execute short-term and long-term business strategies
Drive expansion across domestic and international markets
Identify new revenue streams (luxury travel, DMC, digital platforms, partnerships)
2. Revenue & Growth
Own P&L responsibility and drive profitability across all verticals
Scale monthly bookings, group tours, and private travel segments
Lead pricing strategy, yield management, and margin optimization
3. Operational Excellence
Build strong SOPs across sales, operations, ticketing, and customer experience
Improve efficiency, turnaround time, and service delivery
Implement scalable systems (CRM, automation, reporting dashboards)
4. Brand & Market Positioning
Strengthen Akshar’s positioning as a premium, tech-enabled travel brand
Oversee marketing, partnerships, and brand collaborations
Drive customer acquisition and retention strategies
5. Team Leadership
Build and lead senior leadership team (Sales, Ops, Marketing, Finance)
Foster a high-performance, accountable culture
Recruit, mentor, and retain top talent
6. Investor & Stakeholder Management
Work closely with founders and stakeholders on growth strategy
Prepare company for potential fundraising/expansion
Build strategic alliances with global partners
Qualifications & Experience
10–20+ years of leadership experience in the travel industry.
Prior experience as CEO / COO / Business Head preferred
Background in travel, hospitality, e-commerce, or consumer services
Proven track record of scaling revenue and operations
Strong financial acumen and P&L ownership
Compensation
Competitive fixed salary + performance bonus
