Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Noida for a Veterinary Doctor at an animal shelter dedicated to caring for dogs and cats. The Veterinary Doctor will be responsible for diagnosing and treating medical conditions, performing routine and emergency procedures, administering vaccines, and developing care plans for the animals. Additional responsibilities include monitoring animal health, working with the shelter team to improve animal welfare, providing guidance on feeding and behavioral support, and maintaining accurate medical records. The role will also involve liaising with other veterinary professionals and overseeing the overall health and well-being of the animals at the shelter.

Qualifications

• Veterinary medical skills, including diagnostics, treatment, and surgical procedures
• Experience with preventative care such as vaccinations, deworming, and routine check-ups
• Knowledge of animal behavior and welfare, with a focus on dogs and cats
• Ability to maintain detailed and accurate medical records
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with shelter staff and animal caregivers
• Capability to respond calmly and effectively in urgent or emergency situations
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree and a valid license to practice veterinary medicine
• Previous experience working in shelters or with small animals is a plus
