Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Veterinary Doctor based at the SKS Veterinary Hospital in Chennai. The role includes diagnosing and treating various medical conditions in pets, performing surgical procedures, ensuring post-operative care, administering vaccinations, and providing preventative healthcare advice to pet owners. The Veterinary Doctor will collaborate with a team of specialists, manage patient records, and ensure emergency care practices are executed promptly and effectively.
Qualifications
Expertise in diagnosing and treating medical and surgical conditions in small animals
Proficiency in administering vaccinations, performing health exams, and recommending preventive healthcare plans
Comprehensive knowledge of animal behavior, handling techniques, and care standards
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members
Commitment to evidence-based medical practices and continuous professional development
Veterinary degree (BVSc or equivalent) and a valid license to practice veterinary medicine in India
Experience working in a multi-specialty veterinary hospital is preferred
Flexible and able to handle emergency cases with prompt decision-making skills
