Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Veterinarian based in Delhi, India. The Veterinarian will provide routine and emergency medical care to animals, including conducting examinations, diagnosing illnesses, performing treatments, and providing preventive care. Additional responsibilities include advising on animal nutrition, behavior, and welfare, as well as collaborating closely with other team members to ensure the well-being of all animals under Barket’s care.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in diagnosing and treating medical conditions, conducting surgeries, and administering medications
- Knowledge of preventive care, animal nutrition, and welfare best practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to educate pet owners and work collaboratively with the team
- Problem-solving and organizational skills to manage multiple cases effectively
- DVM degree (or equivalent) and valid veterinary licensing in India
- Prior experience in shelter medicine or with community animals is a plus
- Commitment to animal welfare and a compassionate approach to care
