Under direct supervision, assists with research activities of a research laboratory and/or research projects.
· Will assist the Principal Investigator (PI) and other investigators; and study coordinator(s) to conduct industry/pharmaceutical sponsored Phase II/III trials.
· IRB approved studies will recruit subjects from VA San Diego cardiology clinics.
· Treatment will include assisting investigators with scheduling, data collection and coordinating the implementation of research activities for investigational human subject trials.
· Identify, consent and enroll study participants with assistance of study investigators
· Collects, ships and stores biological specimens
· Collects and enters data and responds to sponsor queries
· Ensures accurate and appropriate documentation of research activities and ensures all research conducted complies with VA research guidelines.
· Works with study sponsor to ensure study documents are completed and follows FDA reporting regulations.
· May perform other duties as assigned.
