Job Overview
- Experience Level: 6 Years to 10 Years
- Department: Electrical & Electronics / Harness & Distribution Box
- Built-to-Print (BTP) Model Leadership:
- Lead and manage end-to-end execution of the Built-to-Print wiring harness strategy across multiple vehicle platforms.
- # Interface with 3D/2D design teams, routing engineers, and suppliers to ensure timely convergence of design and documentation.
- Drive cost, lead-time, and design optimization through effective implementation of the BTP model.
- Supplier Development & Localization
- Identify, validate, and develop local-to-local wiring harness suppliers aligned with technical requirements and sourcing strategy.
- Ensure suppliers are qualified through technical audits, PPAP submissions, and production readiness reviews.
- Partner with Supplier Quality (SQ), Cost Engineering, and Purchasing to monitor supplier performance and close technical gaps.
- Harness Integrity Management
- Establish and manage Harness Integrity processes across both new program launches and current production models.
- Monitor field performance, warranty trends, and ensure timely implementation of design corrections and preventive actions.
- Cross-Functional Program Coordination
- Collaborate with Program Management, Manufacturing and Engineering teams to ensure successful program execution.
- Drive milestone deliverables including design freezes, proto build support, and launch readiness for harness systems.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders for wiring harness scope.
- Quality Systems & Governance
- Ensure strict adherence to automotive quality systems: DFMEA, DVP&R, PPAP, Control Plans, and Drawing/Doc release timelines.
- Lead technical design reviews, release readiness checks, and support functional safety or regulatory compliance as needed.
- Drive documentation control, BoM validation, and traceability in PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter, ENOVIA).
