Role Description The Vertical Head – Healthcare & Pharma Logistics will lead and grow the healthcare and pharmaceutical logistics vertical, ensuring specialized, compliant, and efficient supply chain solutions for clients in India. This full-time, on-site role involves developing vertical-specific strategy, overseeing operations, and driving business development in alignment with industry regulations and quality standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing key accounts, coordinating with operations and customs teams, optimizing freight forwarding, warehousing, and cold chain solutions, and ensuring regulatory and quality compliance for healthcare and pharma shipments. The role also includes monitoring performance metrics, implementing process improvements, leading cross-functional project teams, and collaborating with senior leadership on budgets, forecasts, and market expansion initiatives. The Vertical Head is expected to mentor team members, build strong internal and external relationships, and represent the vertical in client meetings, industry forums, and audits.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in healthcare and pharmaceutical logistics, including cold chain, temperature-controlled storage, and regulatory-compliant transportation.
- Proven experience in freight forwarding, customs clearance, warehousing, and end-to-end supply chain management.
- Demonstrated ability in vertical strategy development, business development, and key account management within logistics or related industries.
- Skills in operational excellence, process optimization, and performance monitoring using KPIs and data-driven decision-making.
- Leadership capabilities, including team management, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder engagement at senior levels.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills, with the ability to present complex solutions clearly.
- Understanding of ISO standards, quality management systems, and healthcare/pharma regulatory requirements (e.g., GDP, GSP) is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Pharmacy, or a related field.
- Experience working with Indian and international logistics regulations and familiarity with digital logistics tools and ERP systems.
