Analyst-Security Operations

This role will be an integral member of our dynamic Verizon Cybersecurity (VCS) third-party security team responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to Verizon's information assets at Verizon & vendor premises. The position requires a strong understanding of security principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to stay ahead of the evolving threat landscape. The following are the requirements: Third-Party Risk Management: Ensure all third-party risk assessments adhere to established Verizon Cybersecurity (VCS) policies, procedures, and regulations. Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the third-party risk management framework and processes. Assist in tracking and remediating identified third-party risks and issues Security Reviews and Insider Threat Management: Conduct control reviews, monitoring/log reviews, and other security assessments to support insider threat management objectives. Risk Assessment and Control Implementation: Assess risks and recommend effective controls to safeguard Verizon initiatives and projects (e.g., new infrastructure, vendor remote access). Develop test procedures for IT controls to evaluate their effectiveness. Proactively identify potential issues and suggest preventative measures to stakeholders. Security Awareness and Best Practices: Conduct awareness sessions on security measures, covering Verizon security policies and industry best practices ​ Team Collaboration and Process Improvement: Actively participate, contribute to, and take ownership of team meetings and process enhancements. Collaborate with functions and support teams to ensure necessary risk and compliance management processes are in place. Business Objectives and Stakeholder Management: Ensure business objectives (goals, KPIs, expectations) are met as defined by management. Network with key stakeholders and escalate project challenges promptly. Independent Work Management and Deliverable Quality: Independently manage assigned objectives. Ensure all deliverables (reports, emails, workpapers) are precise, high-quality, and professional. Proactive Approach and Results Orientation: Initiate and maintain focus on achieving preset objectives. Achieve measurable results despite obstacles. Additional Responsibilities: Support the team/process with any additional requirements based on business needs and management requests.
