As we expand our operations and scale new heights, we are looking for a detail-oriented and strategic Senior AI Engineer to join our dynamic team and manage the financial health of the organization. Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Engineer from Tier 1 institute with hands-on experience in building production grade scalable AI systems. This role will report directly to the Head of AI. Key Responsibilities: Benchmark & Evaluate: Rigorously benchmark existing AI systems and their components. Enhance & Scale: Implement and upgrade critical parts of current AI pipelines. Research & Innovate: Read, experiment, and apply state-of-the-art techniques from latest papers. Optimize Performance: Improve system efficiency, accuracy, latency, and scalability across use cases. Collaborate & Guide: Work with cross-functional teams to productionize solutions and mentor peers. Ensure Robustness: Drive reliability, fairness, and responsible AI practices in deployed systems. Mentor Junior AI Engineers: Lead/mentor a team of 4-5 members & build/maintain AI/ML systems Qualifications & Experience: Core Technical Requirements: 4 years of relevant experience as an AI Engineer. Solid understanding of ML foundations and deep learning Very good understanding of architectures of Major AI models/networks, variables/parameters to control LLMs output/behaviour Working of RAG architectures, Vector Databases retrieval index (HSNW, LSH, FLAT, Quantised etc..) Proficient in async and multi-threaded programming in Python, C++ AI frameworks such PyTorch, scikit-learn, Fast API, Parlant, Langchain, Langgraph DB knowledge - MongoDB, Vector Databases such as Milvus, Qdrant Working knowledge of open source models, applying fine tuning, transfer learning. Ability to build datasets from production data for feedback systems Working knowledge of Deploying, Observing & tracing AI system in Production Very good working knowledge of advanced prompting techniques and templates Ability to benchmark AI models & systems rigorously. Experience with cloud services like EC2, ECS, s3 (object storage), API Gateway, Vertex AI Comprehensive understanding of system design architecture like micro-service, rest api, event-architecture Very good knowledge on CI/CD pipelines, and Docker Ability to lead/mentor a team of 4-5 members & build/maintain AI/ML systems Startup Ethos & Cultural Fit Bias for Action – We move fast, experiment often, and learn quickly.
