Essential Functions
- Secure materials, equipment, manpower, plans, submittals and all other necessary items to ensure that each job’s needs are met in a cost effective manner.
- Complete material requisitions.
- Write purchase orders for materials and equipment to facilitate project completion.
- Schedule pickups/deliveries.
- Work with employees in the shop picking up material. Ensure that they have what they need and are out of shop in a timely manner.
- Verify that incoming shipments of material are complete and delivered to jobsites as needed.
- Communicate with vendors about jobsite orders and deliveries.
- Work in conjunction with Project Managers, Estimators, office staff, senior management and other Superintendents to coordinate progress of assigned projects.
- Respond to questions from field personnel about jobsite conditions and changes.
- Coordinate with General Contractors on scheduling of jobs.
- Control costs associated with labor and material.
- Facilitate weekly scheduling of jobs and personnel.
- Ensure completion and collection of time sheets.
- Assist in review of applications and scheduling interviews for new hires.
- Play an active role in performance management and disciplinary process of subordinate employees.
- Accurately maintain required electronic project schedules so as to manage company resources effectively and provide projected workloads to management for the department.
Requirements
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: 4 years of related work experience
Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Certificates & Licenses: Valid Texas Drivers License
Other: Ability to read and understand mechanical and architectural plans as related to HVAC systems; working knowledge of HVAC systems, their components and functions.
