About the role

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

We are seeking a senior professional to join us as an OFE (Owner Furnished Equipment) Project Manager for the Power Island equipment scope of supply.  The Venture Global OFE team is responsible to ensure that the properly specified and configured Power Island, Pre-treatment and Liquefaction Equipment is delivered on-time.  The Venture Global OFE team is also responsible for the performance, interface and correct functionality of the Power Island, Pre-treatment and Liquefaction Equipment.

This position is located in Arlington, VA.

This role blends project delivery, client partnership, and team leadership. Here's what you'll do:

  • Lead a portfolio of electric distribution and control design, utility interconnection control, and black start control projects to support multi facility LNG production
  • Own scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk across multiple concurrent projects
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for client stakeholders, building trusted relationships through clear communication and consistent delivery
  • Coordinate work across designers, engineers, and technical leads, ensuring teams have clear priorities and direction
  • Oversee project financials, including forecasting and change management
  • Ensure work complies with industry standards, permitting requirements, and regulatory expectations
  • Support permitting and third‑party coordination efforts (municipalities, DOTs, joint‑use utilities) as needed
  • Review deliverables for quality and constructability before submittal
  • Provide construction support and help resolve design‑related issues during build
  • Mentor technical leads, help shape program strategy, and support growth

Your Work May Span Several Ongoing Initiatives, Such As

  • Existing and new build energy distribution and control design
  • Single/Multi-Site Black Start control design
  • Utility interconnection integration and stabilization
  • Voltage Optimization (VO) initiatives focused on system performance and efficiency
  • Distribution Automation (DA) projects, including applicable system upgrades and grid modernization

You’ll Thrive in This Role If You

  • Enjoy managing multiple innovative projects at once across multiple sites
  • Are comfortable balancing demands of client expectations, internal delivery, and financial performance
  • Like working closely with technical teams without needing to be the technical designer yourself
  • Value clear processes, strong standards, and continuous improvement
  • Want to build long‑term client relationships rather than jumping from project to project

Here’s What You’ll Need

  • Project management experience supporting electric distribution or utility infrastructure programs, or other engineering/construction related spaces
  • Experience managing scope, schedule, and budget in a consulting or utility‑facing environment
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with utility clients
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, potentially including leadership of other PMs.
  • Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and keep work moving in a deadline‑driven environment
  • Proficiency in forecasting and financial management
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and technical innovations.

Nice To Have

  • Prior experience working with large investor-owned electric utilities (IOU)
  • Familiarity with distribution design workflows, permitting, and construction support
  • Experience managing program‑based or unitized work
  • PMP or similar certification

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of electric distribution projects
  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, and risk across assigned workstreams
  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, and supplier stakeholders
  • Monitor supplier performance and project progress against plan
  • Support status reporting, forecasting, and executive updates
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety requirements, and regulatory expectations
  • Support field visits and site coordination activities as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.  Construction Management degrees with applicable utility scale ED&C project experience will also be considered
  • Experience Level: 8+ years of relevant utility project management experience
  • Demonstrated experience supporting electric distribution programs
  • D&C experience utilities strongly preferred
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills
