Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Associate to join our investment team. This role offers direct exposure across the full investment lifecycle—from sourcing opportunities and executing transactions to supporting portfolio companies post-investment. The selected candidate will work closely with founders and senior investment professionals, contributing meaningfully to investment decisions, portfolio value creation, and overall investment strategy. The role also provides opportunities for thought leadership and active participation in driving portfolio growth and strategic initiatives.
Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree (CA / MBA Mandatory)
- 2+ years of relevant experience in Venture Capital, Private Equity, Investment Banking, or Family Offices
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineering undergraduate degree (advantageous but not mandatory)
- Prior exposure to startup investing or early-stage ecosystems
- Demonstrated interest in technology, innovation, and emerging sectors
Key Responsibilities
Investment Sourcing & Evaluation
- Identify and evaluate investment opportunities across target sectors
- Review business plans, pitch decks, financial models, and business strategies
- Conduct industry research, market mapping, competitive analysis, and sector deep-dives
- Participate actively in the startup ecosystem to build proprietary deal flow and networks
Financial Modelling, Valuation & Execution
- Build financial models and perform valuation analysis
- Support preparation of investment memoranda and investment committee materials
- Assist in transaction structuring, negotiations, and financing strategy evaluation
- Conduct commercial, financial, and strategic due diligence alongside senior leadership
Portfolio Management & Exit Support
- Track portfolio performance against KPIs and support value-creation initiatives
- Work with founders on strategic priorities and scale-up efforts
- Assist with follow-on funding rounds, secondary transactions, exits, and IPO readiness
- Support portfolio monitoring, reporting, and exit planning documentation
Ecosystem Engagement
- Build relationships with founders, co-investors, and industry stakeholders
- Represent the firm at startup events and ecosystem forums
- Strengthen the firm’s visibility within the venture network
