About the role
A DevOps Engineer uses a strong knowledge of software development and information technology operations to make the systems development and delivery (DevOps) process efficient and effective. Your primary role would be to contribute to the entire CI/CD & infrastructure automation efforts and work with Kubernetes and cloud environments at scale.

Our team architects and deploys cloud infrastructure with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools, enabling agility, stability, and faster time-to-market.

As a DevOps Engineer at Velotio, you will be building CI/CD pipelines, contributing to important architectural and operational decisions, and developing tools to help adoption of cloud native technology.
You will also be creating architectural documents for the projects and maintaining the health of clients tools. As part of the engineering team, you'll provide developers with a full set of DevOps lifecycle tools that will result in a fully automated release management pipeline.
Your typical week would involve working on Kubernetes clusters, writing automation steps to make manual processes better and attending daily sync-ups with the team, and a few meetings with clients to share updates and raise/resolve blockers. You would have the flexibility to manage your work hours to sync up with your team and clients and complete your deliverables comfortably.
Apart from working on projects, you will also get an opportunity to share knowledge with your peers via tech talks, engineering blogs, Velotio wiki, and also interview and mentor newer talent.
