About the role
Overview
This Project Engineer co-op position, based in Somerset, NJ, will evaluate the end-to-end product realization process, from planning to procurement to manufacturing to shipping to logistics and more. Working in our fast-paced environment with a high level of technical complexity, you'll work alongside our manufacturing engineers to reduce manufacturing cycle times and increase product quality.
Responsibilities
Create method instructions for critical-to-quality processes using SolidWorks Composer
Document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Best Known Methods (BKMs), and Work Instructions (WIs) with precision and clarity
Analyze and review large datasets to identify potential issues and actionable items.
Support capacity expansion through the application of lean layout and 5S methodologies, factoring in constraints and modelling cost/benefit analysis.
Lead scope of work effort followed by implementation of automated control of oven temperature cycling process. Develop, test, validate, train and document the software and operation. Publish schedule and maintain work to complete on-time.
Develop plan to upgrade fixture test capability through analysis of parts, test requirements, test tool required upgrades, cost and follow-through to implementation.
Qualifications
Completion of applicable engineering coursework towards a BS or MS degree.
