As a Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for hiring, growing, and leading multiple engineering teams within VDC. Your engineering teams will build and operate data protection services within VDC. Your tasks will include: Lead, mentor, and grow multiple engineering teams Work closely with product management to define the engineering roadmap for your teams and drive execution Oversee architectural decisions for distributed systems, scalable storage, and data protection workloads ensuring long-term reliability and performance Drive engineering and operational excellence, ensuring teams build high-quality, secure, and scalable SaaS services while following agile best practices Clearly communicate technical vision, progress, and risks to executive leadership and key stakeholders Act as a point of escalation for product and operational issues and support the team as needed during on-call
