About the role
At Veeam, Solution Engineers work closely with sales and help to evangelize our product offerings to our end-users and partners. The Cloud Field Systems Engineer collaborates closely with Veeam's field sellers to evangelize the Cloud / Veeam Data Cloud product offering, providing expertise to inform, educate, and influence end users, partners and internal teams about the Cloud backup solutions and technology. Responsibilities include effectively presenting Veeam's Cloud value and sharing technical expertise with diverse decision-makers at various levels.
Responsibilities
Work closely with the core sales department to develop Cloud / Veeam Data Cloud opportunities to technical win
Conduct live and virtual customer meeting presentations and demonstrations
Collaborate with the customer/partner to establish and translate business objectives into technical requirements
Independently consult with customer base to provide technical expertise on the Cloud solution
Work closely with the core sales department to develop Cloud / VDC opportunities to technical wins
Work closely with Product Management to provide customer feedback
Providing pre-sales support to customers as they evaluate Veeam software
Guide others in resolving complex issues in specialized area based on existing solutions or procedures
Support lead generation activities such as events, webinars, user groups
Requirements
Demonstrated solution sales and/or technical pre-sales experience preferred
5+ years of hands-on experience with Cloud Native technologies with major cloud services providers (AWS / Azure / GCP)
Deep expertise in Amazon AWS & Microsoft Azure services such as VMware, AWS | Azure VMs, SQL, S3 | Blob Storage accounts, Cloud Backup Best Practices
Microsoft Azure Security and Compliance: Implement Microsoft Azure security best practices, including IAM policies, VNET design, network security groups, Azure Firewall, Service principals and Azure Key Vault.
AWS Security Expertise : IAM (Identity and Access Management), VPC (Virtual Private Cloud), CloudTrail, GuardDuty, AWS Config, and KMS (Key Management Service).
Acts as point-of-reference for new hires and technical colleagues
Excellent time management, written, and verbal skills required
Ability to travel 25%
Expertise in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, EFS, FSX, DynamoDB, Redshift, AWS Backup
Understanding of AWS VPC configuration, including VPN connections, NAT gateways, Endpoints and peering.
Understanding of Backup and Disaster Recovery solutions in Cloud, best practices and principles
Experience with cloud migration & industry based experience in storage technologies
