We are looking for a skilled VDI Support Engineer with hands-on experience in virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environments. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills and experience working with enterprise virtualization platforms such as VMware Horizon and Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
The role involves managing, supporting, and troubleshooting VDI environments, ensuring optimal performance and seamless user experience across virtual desktop platforms.
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Provide technical support for VDI environments including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Manage and support **virtual desktop infrastructure using VMware Horizon and Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
- Troubleshoot issues related to login, performance, printing, and user profiles in VDI environments.
- Provide support for Windows operating systems including Windows 10/11 and Windows Server.
- Manage and troubleshoot **Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policies, and DNS issues.
- Monitor VDI environments using available monitoring and management tools.
- Work with infrastructure teams to ensure system performance, availability, and security.
- Document issues, resolutions, and procedures for knowledge sharing.
- Follow incident, problem, and change management processes aligned with ITIL standards.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
Must-Have Skills
- Experience in VDI support and administration.
- Hands-on experience with VMware Horizon.
- Hands-on experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS (Windows 10/11, Windows Server).
- Experience working with Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policies, and DNS.
- Experience troubleshooting login, performance, printing, and profile-related issues.
- Familiarity with VDI monitoring and management tools.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change management).
- Experience working in enterprise infrastructure environments.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
