About the role

As a Network & Cloud Account Manager for vCom, you manage our enterprise customers' technology lifecycle environment with a highly personalized touch as they roll out new technologies, control costs, and provide total clarity on technology spend. You will work under our QuantumShift™ division, or vCom’s Buyer’s Club, which offers customers Aggregation, Consolidation and Normalization of IT services, and seamless Integration with vManager.

A key focus in this role is customer retention, you'll work to build long-term, trusted relationships by consistently exceeding expectations and ensuring customer satisfaction. Excellent customer service is your top priority, always seeking to exceed expectations. Your ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines, solve complex problems, and show resourcefulness allows you to pivot frequently while providing highly responsive service. In Your First Month, You’ll

  • Shadow other team members to gain exposure to the day-to-day roles and responsibilities
  • Complete vManager software and technology training
  • Get to know the organization and the people in it

In Your First 3 Months, You’ll

  • Be assigned an account module and be generally up and running in the role
  • Learn by doing and asking lots of great questions (this role is best learned by experiencing it hands on, so while the accounts are assigned, the expectation at this stage is that there is still a lot to learn)
  • Establish connection and build rapport with your account contacts

In Your First 6 Months, You’ll

  • Begin to feel like you’ve mastered the essentials of the role
  • Deepen relationships with your account contacts
  • Feel fully ingrained in your accounts

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute account-specific sales and support strategies to generate new opportunities, protect existing revenue, and drive upgrades and renewals in collaboration with the Technology Sales Executive team
  • Own the full lifecycle of re-term, renewal, and upgrade opportunities, including outreach, pricing, and follow-through
  • Build strong client relationships by understanding business strategies, providing consultative guidance, and identifying growth opportunities
  • Ensure timely contract renewals and upgrades by staying aligned with client needs and usage trends
  • Manage a customer module with $1M–$3M in monthly spend, including pipeline and funnel oversight for conversion opportunities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for escalations, incident management, and resolution coordination
  • Address client inquiries, facilitate MACD (Move, Add, Change, Disconnect) requests, and coordinate cross-functional support to meet expectations
  • Maintain detailed account activity records, including history tracking and follow-up with carriers/vendors
  • Apply technology expertise and telecom best practices to recommend solutions and present data-driven business cases
  • Analyze and simplify complex data for customer-facing presentations and decisions
  • Identify inefficiencies in processes and propose improvements to enhance service quality or operational efficiency
  • Demonstrate initiative, autonomy, and ownership in managing client needs and internal collaboration
  • Consistently act in alignment with vCom’s core values through leadership, professionalism, and customer-centric behavior

What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years of proven success in Client Relations / Account Management within the telecommunications industry, specifically focused on sales and retention of SMB and/or mid-market enterprise clients
    • This includes a strong track record of cross-selling and upselling
  • 2+ years of proficiency in wireline services (dedicated and broadband internet, SD-WAN) and Voice over IP (VoIP)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to tailor communication and relationship-building strategies to effectively engage with individuals across all tiers of client organizations, spanning from technical support to executive leadership
  • Strong PC skills including knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and general knowledge of database software applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Superior time management and multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects concurrently
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, including being resourceful, organized, and independent
  • A proactive approach with a self-motivated and goal-oriented mindset
  • Ability to cope with stressful situations and maintain a calm and professional demeanor
It’s Also Helpful If You’ve Got

  • Demonstrated experience with various carriers including facilities-based and non-facilities-based CLECs and ILECs/RBOCs and other large/national service providers
  • BA/BS degree, or equivalent experience

Compensation

  • Annual pay range: $55,000-$80,000
  • Leverage potential: $15,000-$30,000
  • Compensation is determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and geographic location
  • vCom offers a comprehensive benefits package to full-time employees

The Selection Process

  • After submitting a resume, qualified candidates will be invited to complete two separate assessments
  • Once the assessments are completed, candidates will participate in a pre-screening phone screen with Human Resources
  • A select group of candidates will be interviewed (rounds of interviews may include the Manager of Network Account Management, current Network Account Managers, and QuantumShift leadership)
