Varaha Climate is a leading Climate Tech startup leveraging data engineering, AI, and analytics to drive carbon markets and sustainability solutions. We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize our data warehouse, ETL pipelines, and reporting infrastructure on AWS.

This role is Work from Office in Bengaluru, India.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data warehouses.
• Build and maintain ETL pipelines for data ingestion and transformation.
• Ensure data is structured for reporting & BI tools (Superset, Tableau, Power BI).
• Optimize query performance, indexing, and data partitioning for analytics.
• Leverage AWS data services (Redshift, Glue, Athena, RDS, S3) for storage and processing.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and product teams to define data requirements.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years in Data Engineering, ETL development, and Data Warehousing.
• Strong expertise in SQL, schema design, and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data stack (Redshift, Glue, Athena, S3).
• Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation.
• Experience with BI tools (Superset, Tableau, Power BI).

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to big data tools (Spark, Dask, Airflow).
• Experience with real-time data processing (Kafka, Kinesis, Flink).
• Knowledge of geospatial data and sustainability analytics.
