The salary range is listed above. Starting salary will depend on qualifications and experience.

Human Resource Aides enable older and disabled adults to be cared for in their own homes as well as coordinate in-home services through the Special Assistance In-Home program to prevent older/disabled adults from needing placement in adult care homes. This employee also assists adults in need of placement with locating appropriate facilities.



Position Duties

Provide direct assistance to enable older and disabled adults to safely be cared for in their own homes for as long as possible. 

Regular hours are Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Client needs may require work beyond regular hours at times. Staff may be needed to help care for foster children needing to be cared for in the DSS office when placement resources are not available. 

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: 

* Medication reminders to clients
* Providing meals to clients
* Shopping/pay bills for client
* Transport to doctor’s appointments
* Light house cleaning
* Transporting kids for CPS when needed
* Documenting day sheets, travel, leave records
* Perform other duties as assigned by the agency director to include emergency duty and assisting with displaced children and/or adults.

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities - Ability to transport clients safely and efficiently; to relate to the clientele served; to follow written and verbal directions; to record basic data; report observations to supervisor; and to perform required physical tasks.

Minimum Training and Experience - Demonstrated possession of abilities listed above.

Necessary Special Qualifications - Valid driver's license or chauffeur's license as applicable.

Special Condition for Continued Employment - If applicable, registration as a Nurse Aide by the North
Carolina Board of Nursing within four months of employment.
