                Van Maanen Electric is seeking trade school/program students eager to gain hands-on experience in a commercial construction environment. Ideal candidates are hardworking, motivated, and committed to advancing their careers in the industry. This part-time position offers around 15-30 hours, with scheduling flexibility based on class commitments. Applicants must be enrolled in a trade school/program and be 18 or older to qualify for this position. 

 

             Van Maanen Electric operates largely throughout Iowa, with job sites ranging from large commercial, large residential, underground, light industrial, and service work. We are affiliated with the ABC of Iowa apprenticeship program, which means all of our employees have the opportunity to enroll in this four year program and obtain their Journeyman electrical license. Requirements

Requirements: 

• Must be enrolled in a trade school/program -Please provide proof of enrollment when applying
• MUST HAVE Valid driver's license and means of transportation
• Strong work ethic/ attitude
• Ability to take direction
• Ability to work alone as well as in a team setting
• Ability to work long hours, and show up on time every shift

Summary

Job Duties:

•  Pulling Electrical Wire
•  Bending conduit
• Installing light fixtures on commercial job sites
• Wiring devices
• Demoing old electrical materials
