About the Role:
As the Founding Backend Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in designing and implementing the core backend architecture for our products. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with the founding team, drive key technical decisions, and shape the future of our platform. Your expertise in Python and SQL will be instrumental in building a robust, efficient, and scalable backend system.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Python and SQL.
2. Architect and implement data pipelines, APIs, and storage solutions to support product goals.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional team members to define and prioritize features.
4. Optimize database performance, ensuring reliability and scalability.
5. Participate in architectural discussions and drive decisions on backend technologies.
6. Ensure best practices in code quality, testing, and security.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
2. 4+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer, with expertise in Python and SQL.
3. Strong understanding of database design, data modeling, and performance optimization.
4. Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs.
5. Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, GCP) and containerization (Docker).
6. Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to take ownership of core technical components.
7. Excellent communication skills and collaborative attitude.
