Community Support Facilitator (CSF) – Values Into Action PA

Not your typical leadership role—and that’s the point.

At Values Into Action PA, we support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through highly individualized, one-on-one services—and we do it differently. We work inside real regulations, real funding structures, and real accountability requirements, while actively challenging systems that rely on hierarchy, control, or ‘how it’s always been done.’

We are looking for a Community Support Facilitator (CSF)—someone who sees leadership as mentoring, coaching, and systems stewardship rather than authority, and who is energized by helping teams operate with shared ownership, clarity, and confidence.

What This Role Is Really Like

This role combines facilitative leadership, systems thinking, and hands-on coordination across multiple service lines. CSFs do not manage by command—but they do carry significant responsibility.

  • Coach and mentor self-managing teams supporting people receiving in-home, community participation, and residential supports
  • Partner with people accepting support, families, and Support Partners to ensure coordinated, person-centered services
  • Help teams build reliable systems for scheduling, documentation, and healthcare coordination
  • Support person-centered outcomes while meeting regulatory and funding requirements
  • Identify risks or system gaps and support team-based learning and problem solving
  • Participate in a rotational after-hours and weekend emergency support system

How Leadership Works Here

This is not a traditional management role. CSFs lead through coaching, reflection, clarification of expectations, and systems thinking—while supporting teams to hold complexity together.

Work Hours & Flexibility

We support real people with real needs, which means this role does not always fit neatly into a 9–5 schedule. Flexibility is essential, balanced with thoughtful and sustainable work practices.

This is a hybrid role. The majority of the work takes place in the field, partnering directly with people and teams. Candidates must live in Philadelphia or Delaware County, PA, as regular in-person presence in these communities is required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; minimum five (5) years of experience in human or disability services
  • Demonstrated experience coaching or supervising staff
  • Strong communication, organization, and facilitation skills
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and person-centered practices
  • Ability to meet training, health, safety, and driving requirements
