The Community Services Coordinator – Housing oversees and manages all housing-related programs within the Community Services Department. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance across multiple housing grants, supervising staff, managing program operations and budgets, and maintaining strong partnerships with community agencies, landlords, and service providers.
The Coordinator plays a critical leadership role in ensuring efficient service delivery, regulatory compliance, and positive outcomes for clients experiencing housing instability. This position requires strong leadership, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to adapt to frequently changing program guidelines and funding requirements.
Leadership & Program Management
Estimated Effort: 70%
- Manage and monitor budgets for all housing grants.
- Develop, implement, and maintain systems to track program outcomes.
- Complete monthly reporting, including outcomes for each funding source.
- Make programmatic decisions to ensure smooth and effective program operations.
- Monitor staff and partner agency files for compliance and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with:
- Housing First initiatives
- Coordinated Entry requirements
- Update program forms, policies, and procedures as guidance changes.
- Collaborate with staff and partner agencies to communicate:
- Program updates
- New requirements
- Revised procedures
- Serve as Regional Coordinated Entry Lead (CEL) for COHHIO BoSCoC.
- Attend CEL Boot Camps and distribute relevant information to staff and partners.
- Oversee the Homeless Emergency Fund.
- Coordinate and manage the Annual Point-in-Time Count, including:
- Sheltered counts
- Unsheltered counts
- Provide direct staff support during Point-in-Time activities.
- Conduct community outreach and partnership engagement.
- Participate in budget planning and program development activities.
Staff Support & Service Coordination
Estimated Effort: 20%
- Provide direct support to the Community Services Director and Program Director.
- Supervise and support housing program staff.
- Conduct monthly coaching, goal reviews, and performance support for staff.

- Attend trainings, conferences, and meetings and share information with relevant stakeholders.
Service & Community Engagement

- Collaborate with community partners to strengthen wrap-around services.
- Support agency-wide initiatives and committee assignments.
- Promote a safe and compliant work environment.

Minimum Requirements
Education
- Associate’s Degree in Social Work or related field
(Experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.)
Job-Related Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a social services or office setting.
- Experience assisting clients with programs such as:
- HEAP
- PIPP
- Homeless Programs
- Experience providing resources and support to vulnerable populations.
People Management Experience
- Ability to collaborate with partner agencies and coordinate services across programs and communities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data systems such as:
- Homeless Management Information System (HMIS)
- Ohio Community & Energy Assistance Network (OCEAN)
- Salesforce
- Experience in:
- Case management
- Customer service
- Housing or homeless program operations
- Experience monitoring or administering social service programs.
