Location: Garden Grove, CA
Type: Full-Time
Schedule: 2nd Shift (3:30pm-12:00am)
Job Summary:
Responsible for the efficient operation, organization, and assignment of department by shift at the plant. Plans, organizes, coordinates, and executes activities that carry out production activities and maximize throughput. Expected to perform the following duties of leadership, through assignments and can motivate the appropriate employees.
Essential Functions:
- Organize work area to ensure visibility and control of all active production orders
- Communicate with Customer Service on incoming and in-process work
- Collaborate with Production Manager and cross-shift Supervisors to develop production schedules
- Maintain schedules and adjust labor based on workload demands
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Purchasing for replenishment
- Maintain accurate and compliant order documentation
- Prioritize and assign work to meet production goals
- Train employees and monitor performance for productivity and quality
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and increase efficiency
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required

The majority of work is performed in a manufacturing setting.
This position requires access to knowledge and technical data regulated by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Valence Surface Technologies is required to verify that applicants meet ITAR requirements prior to employment for this role.
