Senior FLS engineer

Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Fire and Life Safety Engineer (Life Safety Engineer that has architectural review background experience) to join our team and work alongside our other specialist disciplines based in our Riyadh office. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated Fire and Life Safety Engineer seeking a challenging role within a professional company with a specialized service offering.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Occupancy load analysis, Fire Separation, Travel distance calculation, define construction elements, fire access road, etc.
• Independently review architectural layouts for compliance with SBC-201/801 codes.
• Ensure familiarity with SBC, NFPA 101, NFPA 5000, IBC, and FLS-related international standards.
• Prepare and review of FLS strategy report in line with the SBC FLS code.
• Coordinate and collaborate internally with Fire and Life Safety engineers to discuss, assist, and resolve the FLS issues, ensuring compliance with SBC FLS Codes.
• Lead tasks on projects and report to the Manager.

Requirements:

• A BSc (BEng) or MSc (MEng) in Fire Safety Engineering / Architecture Engineering/Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong technical knowledge of Life safety requirements for residential, commercial, stadiums, amusement parks, and hotel sectors.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Life Safety reviews. Knowledge of Fire Protection, Fire Alarm systems, and other disciplines is an advantage.
• Additionally Life Safety Engineer that has architectural review background experience.
• CFPS Certification (Desirable)
• Proficiency in IT skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and various presentation software.
• Willingness to relocate, if required.
• Must be SCE Certified (Professional or Consultant).
• Must have a Valid and Transferable Iqama (if non-Saudi).
