Manager – Smartphone App & IoT Systems Validation

Position Summary:-
We are seeking an experienced Manager – Smartphone App & IoT Systems Validation to lead end-to-end validation of connected home appliance ecosystems. The role is responsible for ensuring robust quality, reliability, interoperability, security, and customer experience across smartphone applications, cloud services, embedded firmware, and connected appliances.
The ideal candidate should possess deep understanding of IoT architecture, smart appliance ecosystems, mobile applications, wireless communication technologies, cloud platforms, and system-level validation methodologies. This position will work closely with Product Development, Embedded Software, Cloud Engineering, Mobile App Development, Cybersecurity, Product Management, and Quality teams.
Key Responsibilities:-
System Validation
- Define and execute validation strategy for connected appliances across Refrigerators, Washing Machines, and Air Conditioners : Validate complete IoT ecosystem including: Mobile Apps (Android & iOS), Embedded firmware, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connectivity, Cloud backend, User accounts, OTA updates
- Develop comprehensive validation plans covering functionality, usability, reliability, interoperability, and performance.
Mobile App Validation
- Validate Android and iOS applications : Verify: Device onboarding, Pairing and provisioning, Appliance control, Notifications, Scheduling, Energy monitoring, Diagnostics, Remote firmware updates
- Ensure consistent user experience across different phone models and OS versions.
IoT Ecosystem Validation
Validate complete customer journey including: Device commissioning, Cloud registration, Secure authentication, Device provisioning, Device sharing, Multiple user scenarios, Home Wi-Fi changes, Internet outage recovery, Cloud synchronization, Offline operation, Factory reset, Device replacement
Connectivity Validation
Validate: Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz), Bluetooth BLE, Matter, MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP networking, Home routers, ISP variations, Mobile hotspot scenarios, Signal strength variations, Roaming, Network recovery
Cloud Validation
Validate: Cloud APIs,Device registration, Authentication, Data synchronization, Telemetry, Remote commands, Scalability, Multi-region deployments, Cloud resilience
Required Technical Skills:-
IoT Knowledge : Strong understanding of Connected appliance architecture, IoT device lifecycle, Edge devices, Cloud architecture, Mobile-cloud-device interactions, Digital twin concepts, Device provisioning
Wireless Technologies : Hands-on experience with: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), TCP/IP, MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, WebSockets
Mobile Platforms : Knowledge of: Android ecosystem, iOS ecosystem, App Store / Play Store deployment basics, Mobile debugging, Mobile testing tools
Cloud Platforms : Exposure to AWS IoT

- Minimum 3 years working on connected products or IoT platforms.
- Experience validating complete connected ecosystems
- Exposure to appliance, consumer electronics, or smart home products is highly desirable.
