Job Title : UX Designer
Experience: 4 to 5 years

Job Description
Experience: * Bachelors in Design: 4-5 years (2021 pass out). Masters in Design: 3-4 years (2022 pass out).
Note: Exceptional candidates with slightly less experience (2-3 years) may be considered if they have delivered "earth-shattering" work.
Education (High Priority): Primarily looking for alumni from NID (Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar), IIT (Bombay, Kanpur, Delhi)
Portfolio Essentials: * Must showcase work that has shipped or launched. The portfolio must clearly outline the candidate's specific contribution and, crucially, include discarded ideas to demonstrate their thought process. We love to know why was that idea discarded?
Technical/Mental Skillset
Systems Thinking: Ability to think about how a single change affects a complex, interconnected system.
AI as a Sparring Partner: Must be able to use AI tools not just for output, but to critique and evaluate AI-generated designs.
Visual Design: Exceptional skills in visual communication and design systems at scale
Sector Alignment: Fintech experience is a plus, but the team also values "orthogonal" experience from other domains to provide a diversity of ideas.
The "Mission Seeker": Look for candidates who are bored with "corporate" work at Big Tech and want to own their destiny by working on population-scale solutions for rural India.
Key Performance Areas & Stakeholders
The Work: Designing UI elements (tables, dashboards, cards) with "knobs" that allow different customers to customize functionality without rebuilding the core.
Stakeholders: Works very closely with the Front-end engineering team to implement core building blocks.
Reporting: On paper reports to the Head of Engineering
Interview Process for Recruiters to Note
Exploratory/Screening Call: Focus on communication and storytelling.
Portfolio Round: Detailed review with the design team and a product person.
Whiteboarding Session (1.5 hours): Candidates may be asked to use AI tools to generate a solution and then critique it.
Cross-functional/Leadership Round: Final chat with the leadership team (Head of Engg or Founder)
