UP Police Sub Inspector (UP SI)

UPPRPB is the department responsible for recruiting talented and young candidates for the post of sub inspectors, constables, and many more. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA Age Limit Criteria The Minimum age of the candidate applying for the post of UP Police SI should not be less than 21 years and the Maximum age of the candidate should not be more than 28 years as on 1st July 2025. This means that the candidate who wish to appear for the U.P. Police S.I. exam should not be born before 1st July 1997 and not later than 2nd July 2004. Candidates can also seek for the upper age relaxation subject to the following: Category Age Limit (in Years) General 21-28 OBC 21-33 SC/ST 21-33 APPLICATION FEE AND INTIMATION CHARGE: (Non Refundable) General / OBC Rs. 400/- ST/SC/PWD Rs. 400/- Exam Pattern for UP SI Exam Pattern for the following three stages- Online Written Examination- The online written examination will be of 400 marks consisting of multiple choice questions (MCQs)- Sl. No. Subject Marks 1 General Hindi 100 2 Law/ Constitution/ 100 3 Numerical & Mental Ability Test 100 4 Mental Aptitude Test/Intelligence Test/Test of Reasoning 100 Note- The candidates must have to obtain a score of 50 percent in each subject to qualify in the written test. Documentation & Physical Standard Test (PST)- The documentation and physical standard test (PST) pattern is as follows- Height Chest Male Gen/OBC/SC 168 cms 79-84 cms ST 160 cms 77-82 cms Female Gen/OBC/SC 152 cms N/A ST 147 cms N/A Minimum 40 Kgs weight is prescribed for Female Candidates. Minimum 05 cms expansion of chest is necessary for Male Candidates. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)– This phase is only for the candidates who have qualified in the documentation and PST. The race in this test is Male – 4.8 KMs in 28 minutes. Female – 2.4 KMs in 16 minutes.
