About the role
The internship at the College of Liberal Arts Public Affairs team is designed to provide students interested in journalism, social media, and public relations opportunities to gain firsthand experience working on a variety of publications and platforms and to grow their writing portfolios. The COLA PA intern will assist the public affairs team by working on social media video productions, creating graphics for social media posts, writing internal and external news releases, promoting college-wide events, and writing articles for the college's award-winning online and print magazine Life & Letters.
Ideal candidates have demonstrated professional verbal and written communications skills, social media savviness, and self-reliance when completing assigned projects. Essential skills include familiarity with social media content production and video.
About the company
The public affairs team promotes the life and work of the College of Liberal Arts to the news media, alumni, general public and the university community. We also publish the college's award-winning alumni magazine, Life & Letters, which highlights the research and intellectual life of our faculty and students and the accomplishments of alumni around the world.
