The Role
We're looking for a passionate UI Artist with 3–5 years of gaming experience to own the look, feel, and polish of our in-game experience. You'll work closely with game designers, engineers, and artists to design and build interfaces that millions of players will touch — from first sketch in Figma to final pixel in Unity.
Responsibilities
Game UI Design and Visual Craft
- Conceptualise, design, and create stunning UI/UX for HUDs, menus, shop screens, events, and onboarding flows.
- Develop and maintain a consistent visual style, component library, and UI guidelines across the game.
- Find creative art solutions to production challenges and platform constraints.
Implementation and Production
- Take screens from rough idea to Figma prototype to final Unity implementation.
- Partner with engineering on scalable UI systems — prefabs, anchors, sprite atlases, localisation, and UI animations.
- Contribute to the art pipeline while meeting project deadlines.
AI-Driven Workflows
- Leverage AI tools (Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, ChatGPT, Firefly, etc.) to accelerate ideation and iterate faster.
- Continuously explore and adopt emerging AI-powered design tools.
Collaboration and Iteration
- Work closely with game designers, developers, and producers to ship impactful features.
- Improve UX through playtesting, data, and constant iteration post-launch.
What You Bring
Must-Haves
- 3–5 years of UI art experience in gaming (mobile, PC, or console).
- Strong Figma — components, auto-layout, prototyping, design systems.
- Hands-on Unity — UGUI, prefabs, anchors, sprite atlases, basic animation.
- Daily use of AI tools in your creative workflow.
- Excellent Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects).
- Strong fundamentals in typography, layout, colour, and hierarchy.
- A portfolio of shipped game UI — not just concepts or mockups.
- Self-motivated, hungry, and obsessed with quality.
Nice-to-Haves
- Mobile, hybrid casual, or live-ops titles.
- Familiarity with monetisation, IAP, and F2P design patterns.
- Experience with Spine, Rive, or Lottie for UI animation.
- Awareness of shaders, VFX, or technical art for UI.
- Mentoring or guiding junior artists.
