ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative UI/UX & Frontend Developer for a 1-month onsite contract engagement in Chennai. The ideal candidate brings a strong design sensibility paired with sharp frontend engineering skills to deliver pixel-perfect, user-centric digital experiences. You will work closely with product and backend teams to rapidly prototype and build high-quality interfaces.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design intuitive, accessible, and visually compelling UI/UX for web and/or mobile applications
• Translate wireframes, mockups, and prototypes into clean, responsive frontend code
• Develop pixel-perfect UI components using React.js / Vue.js / Angular (or similar frameworks)
• Collaborate with product managers, backend engineers, and stakeholders to define and refine UX flows
• Conduct usability reviews and iterate designs based on user feedback
• Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility of all frontend deliverables
• Maintain design consistency using design systems, component libraries, and style guides
• Deliver production-ready code adhering to performance and accessibility best practices
• Participate in daily standups and contribute to sprint planning for rapid delivery
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Design Skills
• Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch for UI design and prototyping
• Strong understanding of UX principles — user flows, wireframing, information architecture
• Experience creating and maintaining design systems and component libraries
• Eye for typography, color theory, spacing, and visual hierarchy
Frontend Development Skills
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+)
• Proficiency in a modern JS framework: React.js (preferred), Vue.js, or Angular
• Experience with responsive design frameworks (Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap, or Material UI)
• Familiarity with RESTful API integration and asynchronous JavaScript
• Working knowledge of Git and version control workflows
• Understanding of web performance optimization and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.x)
GOOD TO HAVE
• Experience with Next.js or Nuxt.js for SSR/SSG applications
• Familiarity with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, Pinia)
• Exposure to mobile-first design and hybrid/native app development
• Knowledge of GSAP or Framer Motion for UI animations
• Basic understanding of backend APIs and cloud-hosted environments
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments
ENGAGEMENT DETAILS
Contract Duration: 1 Month (with potential for extension based on performance)
Work Mode: Onsite – Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India
Start Date: Immediate / As soon as possible
Compensation: Competitive day rate / monthly rate (negotiable based on experience)
