Role Description The Used Car Evaluator at Apollo 24|7 is a full-time, on-site role based in Chandigarh, India. The role involves inspecting used vehicles for mechanical condition, bodywork, interior quality, and documentation accuracy, and assessing their market value using established evaluation guidelines. The evaluator will interact with customers to explain findings, provide clear recommendations, and address questions in a professional and supportive manner. Daily responsibilities include preparing detailed evaluation reports, coordinating with sales and insurance teams, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards. The role may also involve participating in training sessions, staying updated on automotive trends and pricing, and supporting process improvements in the vehicle evaluation workflow.
Qualifications
- Strong automotive knowledge, including vehicle inspection, performance assessment, and familiarity with common mechanical and cosmetic issues.
- Customer service skills to communicate findings clearly, manage expectations, and provide a respectful, helpful experience for all customers.
- Sales and negotiation abilities to support pricing discussions, collaborate with sales teams, and contribute to closing deals ethically and effectively.
- Understanding of insurance-related aspects of used vehicles, such as claim history, documentation review, and risk assessment.
- Ability to participate in and benefit from training programs, with a focus on continuous learning, process compliance, and quality standards.
- Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in using digital tools or mobile applications for recording evaluations.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
- Prior experience in automotive evaluation, service centers, vehicle sales, or related fields is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training in automotive or mechanical fields is an added benefit.
