Role Description
As a US Debt Collector, you will be responsible for handling past-due accounts and recovering outstanding debts from customers in compliance with US collection laws and company policies. Your role will involve making outbound calls, negotiating payment plans, and ensuring a professional approach to debt resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
Make outbound and receive inbound calls to recover outstanding debts.
Negotiate and set up payment plans with customers.
Handle objections and provide solutions to resolve past-due accounts.
Ensure compliance with US debt collection laws and company policies.
Update customer records and maintain accurate documentation.
Meet and exceed collection targets and performance metrics.
Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in 1st-party or 3rd-party collections is mandatory.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Familiarity with FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) is a plus.
Ability to handle difficult conversations with professionalism.
Target-driven and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
