Human Resources Business Partner

 

Position Overview:

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic and operational leader within the HR function, acting as a trusted advisor to leadership while ensuring the effective execution of HR processes across a workforce of approximately 600 employees and growing.

This role functions as a key partner to the HR Director, providing day-to-day leadership of site HR operations, developing HR team members, and driving consistency across employee experience, compliance, and workforce strategies. The HRBP balances business needs with employee experience, ensuring HR practices are proactive, scalable, and aligned with organizational goals.

Job Responsibilities:

HR Leadership & Operations

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and development to HR team members, fostering accountability and self-sufficiency
  • Establish clear ownership of HR processes and service standards
  • Partner with the HR Director to execute HR strategy and priorities
  • Ensure efficient, accurate delivery of core HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, and HRIS data integrity

Strategic Business Partnership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, performance management, and employee engagement
  • Analyze HR metrics (e.g., turnover, attendance, headcount) to identify trends and deliver actionable insights
  • Align HR practices with business objectives to support growth and operational effectiveness

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Lead and support complex employee relations matters and workplace investigations, ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant outcomes
  • Coach leaders on conflict resolution, corrective action, and people management practices
  • Ensure consistent application of policies and compliance with employment laws and regulations

Talent & Workforce Development

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and leaders on hiring strategies and selection for key roles
  • Support workforce planning, succession planning, internal movement, and onboarding
  • Reinforce leadership development, training completion, and internal talent pipelines

Performance, Culture & Engagement

  • Guide leaders through performance management, feedback, and accountability practices
  • Support consistent and equitable compensation, promotion, and recognition processes
  • Drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement, culture, retention, and organizational effectiveness

Must Have's

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or human resources or equivalent experience in Human Resources
  • 2-3 years of broad HR functional experience
  • Experience with principles and practices of personnel administration including current legal compliance and employee handbook/policies
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills required

Nice to Have's

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively educate and motivate subordinates is a plus
  • HRCI (PHR) or SHRM-CP a plus
