Senior Bookkeeper – US Real Estate
We are seeking a Senior Bookkeeper with strong experience in US real estate accounting to manage end‑to‑end bookkeeping for residential and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Xero and QuickBooks Online, have strong analytical and communication skills, and be able to mentor junior staff while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full‑cycle bookkeeping for US real estate clients
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts
- Handle AR/AP, vendor payments, and owner distributions
- Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Perform property‑level accounting, rent rolls, and CAM reconciliations
- Manage journal entries, accruals, and month/year‑end close
- Ensure compliance with US accounting standards
- Review junior staff work and communicate with clients
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of US real estate bookkeeping experience
- Strong expertise in Xero and QuickBooks Online
- Experience in multi‑entity and property‑level accounting
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
- Comfortable working with US clients and time zones
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with property management and rent tracking
- Exposure to US tax coordination (1099s, CPA support)
- Experience in offshore or outsourcing environments
