Job Title: Senior US Bookkeeper (Remote | QuickBooks Online Expert) About the Role
We are looking for a
highly experienced and detail-oriented US Bookkeeper who can take complete ownership of bookkeeping for our US-based client. This is not just a data-entry role — we are seeking someone who can
analyze financials, identify discrepancies, and add real value to the client’s accounting process.
If you have deep expertise in
QuickBooks Online, strong analytical skills, and experience working directly with US clients, this opportunity is for you.
What You’ll Be Doing - Manage end-to-end monthly bookkeeping for a dedicated US client
- Accurately record journal entries, debits, and credits in the general ledger
- Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations with a high level of accuracy
- Prepare and review financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow)
- Handle month-end and period-end closing activities
- Conduct detailed financial reviews to identify discrepancies, unusual trends, or errors
- Troubleshoot issues such as:
- Incorrect reconciliations
- Mapping errors with payroll or other systems
- Missing or returned transactions
- Work extensively on QuickBooks (Online, Desktop, or Enterprise via remote VPN access)
- Collaborate closely with the client’s Accounting Manager and internal teams
- Maintain clear, timely, and professional communication with US stakeholders
What We’re Looking For Must-Have Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in US Bookkeeping
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Strong understanding of US accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proven experience in account reconciliations and financial analysis
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal & written)
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently
Good-to-Have
- Experience with QuickBooks Desktop / Enterprise
- Exposure to payroll systems and integrations
- Prior experience working directly with US clients or CPA firms
