As we expand our operations in India, we are looking for a proactive HR Manager (IC) to build and scale our people operations in Bangalore.

Role Overview:

As an HR Manager (Individual Contributor), you will be the go-to HR leader for our growing Bangalore team, ensuring seamless HR operations, employee engagement, and compliance. This is a hands-on role where you will manage end-to-end HR functions while working closely with the US leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. HR Operations & Compliance:

  • Oversee payroll, benefits, leave management, and statutory compliance (PF, ESIC, PT, Gratuity, etc.).
  • Maintain HR records, policies, and ensure adherence to Indian labor laws.
  • Manage vendor relationships (payroll, insurance, background checks, etc.).

2. Employee Engagement & Culture:

  • Drive engagement initiatives, performance management, and recognition programs.
  • Foster a strong company culture aligned with our US HQ while adapting to local nuances.
  • Address employee concerns, conduct stay interviews, and ensure high retention.

3. Learning & Development:

  • Identify training needs and facilitate skill development programs.
  • Support career growth and internal mobility in collaboration with managers.

4. HR Analytics & Process Improvement:

  • Track HR metrics (attrition, hiring efficiency, engagement scores) and provide insights.
  • Continuously improve HR processes leveraging AI/automation tools.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 7 -10 years of HR experience, preferably in startups or fast-growing tech companies.
  • Strong expertise in Indian labor laws, payroll, and compliance.
  • Proven track record in recruitment, employee relations, and HR operations.
  • Experience working with US-based teams is a plus.
  • Tech-savvy – comfortable using HRIS, ATS (e.g., Greenhouse, Lever), and collaboration tools (Slack, Notion).
  • Independent self-starter – ability to work autonomously in a remote-friendly setup.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
