Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced US Accountant to manage accounting operations for US-based clients/entities. The role requires strong knowledge of US GAAP, hands-on experience with accounting systems, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Manage end-to-end accounting for US clients/entities
- Record journal entries, maintain general ledger, and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities
2. Financial Reporting
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Generate periodic MIS reports and variance analysis
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
3. Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Manage AP/AR processes including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments
- Reconcile customer and vendor accounts
4. Bank & Account Reconciliation
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a periodic basis
5. Tax & Compliance Support
- Assist in preparation of US tax-related data (1099s, sales tax, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with US accounting standards and internal policies
6. Audit Support
- Coordinate with auditors and provide required documentation
- Maintain proper audit trails and documentation
7. Process Improvement
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements
- Support automation and system enhancements where required
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–6 years of experience in US accounting or outsourcing firms
- Strong understanding of US GAAP
- Experience with accounting software like QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or similar
- Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced level preferred)
