Responsibilities
👉 Manage end-to-end litigation from case initiation to final execution and Initiate legal actions under NI Act (Sec 138), PSA, and Arbitration Act.
👉 Draft and vet legal notices, complaints, affidavits, and petitions and Drive recovery through legal notices, settlements, and negotiations.
👉 Represent organization in Lok Adalats and mediation proceedings. Execute recovery actions including asset attachment and warrants. Also Onboard and manage external legal vendors across regions.
👉 Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines and Fair Practice Code and Audit legal documentation for accuracy and risk mitigation. Handle customer disputes, legal notices, and counter-claims.
👉 Develop pre-litigation strategies based on delinquency segments and Decide appropriate legal routes (Arbitration vs. Sec 138 cases). Analyze success rates and improve recovery strategies.
👉 Maintain accuracy in notice-to-filing ratio and real-time legal case tracking (MIS). Prepare reports on legal cost vs. recovery performance and Identify and escalate high-value or critical cases.
Qualifications
- LLB/LLM
- Prior experience working with Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs), specifically handling vehicle loan cases.
- Candidate should be based in or have strong familiarity with the Karnataka region.
