Job OverviewWe are looking for a highly skilled Senior Automation Test Engineer (SDET) with strong expertise in test automation frameworks and a passion for quality engineering. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in automation tools such as Selenium, along with the ability to lead testing efforts and mentor team members.
This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and domain understanding, preferably in Banking/Fintech, to ensure high-quality product delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, etc.
- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, ensuring best practices in test automation
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective test strategies and test cases
- Execute automated test suites and analyze results to identify defects and improvement areas
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure end-to-end quality
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or similar tools)
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman/Rest Assured
- Ensure test coverage across UI, API, and backend systems
- Drive continuous improvement in QA processes, tools, and methodologies
Required Skills & Qualifications- 5–8 years of experience in Software Testing with strong focus on Automation
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver
- Proficiency in Java/Python (preferred: Java)
- Experience with automation frameworks like TestNG, Cucumber (BDD), or JUnit
- Strong understanding of API testing (Rest Assured / Postman)
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
- Good knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
- Experience in leading or mentoring a QA team
Good to Have- Experience in Banking or Fintech domain
- Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner)
- Knowledge of Docker or cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git
